Homemade Hemp Milk

Unsweetened Hemp Milk
1 cup hemp seed hearts
3 cups water
Pinch of salt

Sweetened Hemp Milk
1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
3-4 pitted dates or 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup


1.  Blend on high hemp seed hearts, water and salt for 45-60 seconds or until hemp heats are completely pulverized.
2.  Strain through cheese cloth or nut milk bag. Pour milk into the bag or through the cloth, twisting the bag or cloth gently until closed and all liquid has passed through.
3.  For sweetened milk, pour the strained milk back into the blender and add vanilla and sweetener and blend until smooth.
4.  Store in a sealed container in the fridge. Good for 2-3 weeks.
