Banana Bread with Hemp Hearts



1.  3 very ripe bananas, peeled.
2.  1/3 cup hemp seed oil
3.  1/3 cup hemp seed hearts
4.  1/4 cup sliced almonds or crushed hazelnuts
5.  1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
6.  1 teaspoon baking soda.
7.  Pinch of salt.
8.  3/4 cup sugar
9.  2 large eggs, beaten.
10. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
11. 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour.



1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan.

2 In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth. Stir the hemp seed oil into the mashed bananas.

3 Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar and beaten eggs.

4 Mix in the flour.

5 Mix in the 1/4 cup of hemp hearts, nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla extract.

6 Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle remaining hemp hearts on top.

7 Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350°F (175°C), or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

8 Remove from oven. Remove the banana bread from the pan and let cool.
